Anxiety, Depression or Both? Have you tried CBD?

Depression and anxiety and CBD: A New Alternative to Medications

It’s amazing to know that there is an alternative supplement to mind-altering, mood shaping pharmaceutical antidepressant and anxiety medication. A bit of a sharp way to begin but there is no time to beat around the bush. CBD oil for anxiety and depression has become the latest fad and trend, although it is so much more than that. It could very well be the solution that many have longed to find in their quest in holistic and alternative medicine.

For decades, we have focused on the hallucinogenic properties of marijuana, ignoring the other 400 plus cannabinoids. CBD happens live inside not only the Cannabis, Hemp, but even Hops. Entirely different plants altogether! At MonaLisa healing we are here to end the stigma behind CBD “getting you high”, but also raise the awareness of CBD as a real alternative for dealing with anxiety and depression.

Changing the Brain Pattern

The use of CBD oil for anxiety and depression became something that lifted me out of the pits of my mind when it left me scraping for crumbs at the bottom of a dumpster. It lifted my mood, adjusted the serotonin and dopamine levels in my brain, and helped my chemical imbalance find some comfort. It really took me a solid 15 years to truly believe, engrain and train myself to think a different way after years of damage to my self-esteem.

CBD for anxiety and depression creates the safe space you always dreamed of as a kid, but in your mind.  CBD feels like mom or dad tucking you in at the end of the night, with a kiss on your forehead and a bedtime story. A feeling of complete and utter security. It is important to understand that everyone has a different experience with alternative medications, especially one so diverse like the CBD molecule. CBD oil and medications are and work within the body and brain differently.

Do prescription pharmaceuticals make you happy? DO they encourage you to heal your heart and emotional trauma, that can be sometimes  linked to this anxiety and depressive state? Some research indicates that  many of those drugs could take weeks to integrate into the system. CBD, as I have experienced and learned can aid in helping maintain our own personal levels of anandamide. Anandamide is also created by the body and it is also known as the “Bliss Molecule”, a neurotransmitter. Anandamide is also a naturally occuring endocannabinoid. In other words, the body produces “natural” cannabinoids. When CBD is absorbed into the body these levels raise or lower levels based on what outburst of mood it is effecting.

One 2019 study “found that CBD has a fast and sustained antidepressant-like effects.” This is why I get frustrated when I still see loved ones dabbling in the world of pharmaceutical medication for mental illness. I wish they would look to a healthier, more natural alternative way of healing. We suffer from similar disorders – depression is harmful to the soul no matter what the trigger is. Maybe my passion for emotional stability brought me to my own CBD journey. They say that things take time to manifest into your world, and it’s not only until recently that CBD has really began to break into the world of healing naturally in the way it has.

Truth Behind the Quality

Overall, there is no real guideline on how to use CBD for depression or anxiety, but simply this: Find a product you can trust. Do the research yourself, and talk to your doctor. Listen to what others are saying and sharing, and find testimonials. Be your own Hardy Boy or Nancy Drew. And once you are comfortable, learn about  your tolerance. About the severity of your ailment or concern, and the dosage dependant variables that go into purchasing a trusted, quality, lab-verified and tested CBD oil.

Consistency is Key

Creating consistency for yourself, your body, and your mind is the first step. Once the consistency breaks the pattern of your old ways- that’s when you really begin to see the change in everyday life. If it wasn’t for my own positive experience with CBD, there would be no reason for me to advocate on its behalf.

It truly is extraordinary to know that there is such a diverse, safe plant medicine out there. One of the things that give me profound hope for the future. It is up to us to change the way we view our health. CBD oil for depression and anxiety is a real alternative medicinal answer when looking into options for managing stress.
